Take up the Shield of FAVOR and redefine spiritual warfare for today

I really feel the need to redefine spiritual warfare. It's been totally misunderstood. Some have been completely spent fighting battles we can hardly imagine and scarcely believe while others are just too comfortable and unwilling and think that this is 'hocus pocus' in one way or another.

You know what unites these two groups of believers, though? Fear. 

The truth is many are SCARED of spiritual warfare. 

And they are right to be scared. You know why? Because they don't understand their salvation. They don't know who they are in Christ. They have not yet fathomed the Blood of Christ.

I've spoken about the Shield of Faith. But this post is about the SHIELD OF FAVOR. Have you heard of it?

Here's why so many are falling in spiritual warfare, why some are becoming almost insane and why some have been completely spent doing things that sound utterly crazy. Because they have GUILTY CONSCIENCES.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Here's a very important clarification: I'm not the type of person to advocate for fighting demonic powers in the heavenlies or cursing them or reviling them or anything of that sort. In my life (as of the writing of this post), I have had only one direct encounter with a demon in the physical, when one manifested itself while my friend and I were simply praying for an oppressed person. (This stuff is for real folks!)

Spiritual warfare is a terrestrial affair. When we see resistance in the natural, we must be alert spiritually, so we can discern its cause and then proceed calmly, from a position of authority in Christ, rest, and grace to simply engage the enemy and dislodge it while making use of our armor.

But the number one strategy of the enemy is to attack you from within using GUILT.

You don't even have to know what spiritual warfare is, guilt is destroying people everywhere, whether they are in spiritual warfare or not. It's just that in spiritual warfare, I believe this strategy is even magnified. 

For those of you who know about spiritual warfare, the #RoyalPriesthood and all that, you need to stop thinking as if you're in the Old Covenant, a Covenant which was completely fulfilled by Jesus. You need to take up the Shield of Favor, the Shield of Grace. This shield reminds you that you are Righteous in Christ, period. That you are forgiven, any time, all the time, period. That the work of Jesus on the Cross is done and finished just as He Himself shouted with His last breath on the Cross... "IT IS FINISHED."

The Shield of Favor is the number one weapon against the number one tactic of the enemy. 

It's so simple. See yourself covered by the grace and favor of God. Ask Him to show it to you, how fully forgiven you are.

Understanding the importance of Blood

I will tell you a secret. Angels don't bleed and neither does the enemy. The Angelic beings of heaven, were never made with blood... this is my understanding, I submit it to you humbly. That is why you will find that the Angels of Heaven long to understand the Gospel of our Salvation (1 Pet 1:12)... because it was mediated by the most precious substance in the Universe, the Blood of Yeshua, the Lamb of God (Heb 12:24). They know those who are sanctified by the Blood and washed by the Word but they do not understand it because they themselves are not creatures of Blood like we are.

When God said, "Let us make man... according to our Likeness... the word 'likeness' literally means, life-blood. That's why we are different. That's why we could only be redeemed by the Son of Man, One who had Flesh and Blood, and not just any one, but the Holy One who was without blemish (sin) in any way or form or degree.

The blood is the Shield of Favor because it speaks Grace and Mercy over you!

Praise be to Jesus who has given you such a shield of Favor! Because you are covered by the Blood of Jesus, the enemy only touches you when you yourself do not understand who you are in Christ, and what is the unfathomable Value and Power of the Blood of Yeshua! Friends, guilt is like a traitor who opens the door to the enemy from inside an impenetrable fortress (you are that fortress, the redeemed child of God).

How do you shut the door of guilt in your life?

Well, if it makes you feel better, repent and confess your sins, but I tell you, you who are already in Christ, born of the Spirit; the Father loves you and has already forgiven you. It will help though to repent, to realign yourself to God's will and His Kingdom and to point out that you need help to live rightly, NOT to earn God's favor, no, but simply because there is not a single true and real Child of God who does not desperately want to live righteously just as they may know they are righteous. We really want to manifest that righteousness by living righteously. Are you with me? (If you really want that, click here to read this post right away).

So shut the door of guilt. Take up the Shield of Favor along with the entire Armor of God. I tell you we shall do great things, when we are begin to operate in this Truth.

Jesus said that "The Gates of Hades Shall Not Overcome [My Church]" (Mat 16:18). When you take up the Shield of Favor, I tell you, if this Promise was true for the last 2000 years it shall be manifest a thousand, thousand times more. Amen.

Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. Ps 5:12

Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one... For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Ps 84:9,11
