Why knowing you're righteous means you can change the world

What comes to mind when you hear the word "righteous"? Think about that for a moment. Now, what if I told you that understanding this word and then, very importantly, understanding that you are always righteous in Christ is how you start to be a Kingdom Christian - the sons and daughters of God who rise from glory to glory, bringing the Kingdom to reality, here on earth. Are you ready for that?

In my previous post I talked about changing the world and raised the rather ridiculously far-fetched idea that the Middle East could see peace, just as an example of what we can aim for as Kingdom Christians. But for us, this stuff should only sound far-fetched to the unrighteous mind. Wherever you come from, your righteousness is where changing your world starts. And here's why.

Firstly, the word 'righteous' in the tongue of the Hebrews is a most curious concept, going far deeper than merely being on the right and good path. Normally we try to translate the word righteous to 'moral'... ugh! What a bland term that completely strips the power from that word. Here is what being righteous means: to be worthy of the inheritance.

Here's another thought that is key in unlocking the secret of the righteous. The Bible is dividing into two so-called 'testaments'. What is a testament? It is a will. A person writes a will to bequeath his most prized and plentiful possessions to his loved ones. It usually comes into to effect after His death. That's right... His death! The New Testament... is, in other words, God's will, written and sealed with the Blood of the Incarnate God - Jesus Christ! Are you understanding this? The New Covenant or Testament is telling you what God has bequeathed to you as His son and daughter and it came into effect some 2000 years ago when Jesus died, hung on a dead tree on a dead hill called the Skull. His Death... means Life and Life Abundant to the entire world!

Here's even better news. In Christ, you are made FOREVER righteous. Your are righteous... that is, you are worthy to inherit and receive of all God's most prized possessions... His Spirit, His Love, His Grace, His Power, His Life, His Wisdom, and all the blessings of heaven and earth are yours! And this righteousness... it doesn't come and go. If you sinned today, you didn't become less righteous or lose it altogether. If you sinned again after reading that, you still didn't lose it! If you sinned 7 million times after that, you still did not become any less righteous, not a single slither less! You still have all the righteousness of the universe in you. You still are 100% times a million worthy of the inheriance! Friends, we are talking about the blood of Jesus. The blood of Abel cried for justice from the earth it drenched, but this blood of Jesus speaks righteousness to you forever! It declares that you are now just, protected, saved, set apart forever! It doesn't clean you like water does. It cleans you and keeps you clean forevermore. Get rid of the notion that you are a sinner. You are not... once you received Christ, you no longer are a sinner and even if you sin one time after another, you are still RIGHTEOUS.

So do the righteous change the world? They do. I'm not going to spoon feed you the heritage of the righteous. But one thing is clear from what you're about to read... the righteous are blessed and are themselves a great blessings. So read it for yourselves here, this is your inheritance! (Oh and to get the most out of this, replace the word 'righteous' for your name and say it out loud in Jesus' name... try it!)
