The keys of heaven have been given to you

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Prov 18:21

Many people know about the power of words and use it accordingly. With words we bless, heal, encourage and help people, ourselves included... that's all part of our heritage in Christ, but imagine we could do more things; what if we set our eyes on higher heights, thought on on a greater scale?

Consider these great giants of the ages:

Noah saved humanity.
Abraham rescued a city... when all he wanted was to rescue his nephew.
Joseph delivered the entire house of his father and one of the largest civilizations of the world at the time.
Moses set the Israelite nation free from slavery.
Joshua bought them all into their inheritance... His first battle was won without firing a single arrow or unsheathing a single sword.
Samson bought the occupier to their knees.
Samuel chose the king of his nation... twice.
David established a kingdom.

And Daniel... as for him, his story is the one I want to finish with. This man was not just in exile, he was a prisoner but rose in the ranks (and his friends with him) to become a governor and chief adviser of the king. But you know what else he did? Though he wasn't a Levite, he acted like the high priest not just of his family, but of his entire nation and ancestors before him! I believe this man shook heaven and earth. A generation after him two men of God, Nehemiah and Ezra would lead the Judaeans back to their land... after 70 years of exile, just as Daniel had understood and said. In a sense, Daniel bought back his tribal brothers back to their inheritance even when he was dead!

Daniel along with the rest of these great giants of the ages, did awesome things. But none of them had the Holy Spirit living in them like He lives in you today! Jesus gave us the keys to heaven (Matt 16:19). He said what we bound on earth would be bound in heaven, and what we set free here would also be set free there. It's time we began to simply speak like the priest-kings of God.

All you have to do is learn how to bless and proclaim good things. You may never be noticed, but you will smile when you see things working out just as you said. No one will know but you. Peace and prosperity, freedom and dignity, and life and joy aren't strangers to our lands. They were born there. And it's time they come back. We are the children of the Most High, Jesus is our High Priest and King of kings, but as He was sent to earth to speak with authority, so He has sent us to do the same.

And a word of caution; James and John were rebuked because they wanted to send fire to destroy lives. (They knew they had the authority, but didn't yet come to understand the Spirit behind that power.) You on the other hand, have been given the Spirit of Christ - He came not to destroy lives, but to save them!

Psalm 149 says it all...

"Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment-- this honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!"

Do you know who these 'kings and nobles' are... it's not for no reason the Bible calls Satan the 'Prince of the World'.

You pray 'Your Kingdom come' all the time. What if you were more the answer to that prayer and the one who prayed it? What if you could build the kingdom? Afterall isn't it in you already?

"Behold, the Kingdom of God is within... you!" Luke 17:21
