Let Your Armor Glow with God's Words - A dream revealing a spiritual strategy for a specific problem.

I'm a big fan of Grace. But let me be very honest. Some of the teachings you hear from the so-called champions of the "Finished Works Gospel" and the "Gospel of Grace" will keep you on trainer's wheels if you're not careful. I'm totally with them on Grace and Forgiveness and Righteousness.  But they will tell you to just speak positive things about your life saying that you will succeed, or that things will work out. There was great power in the Words of Christ, this wasn't Tony Robbins telling you make good declarations to make your mind believe. In other words, this is milk, not meat(3).

Moreover, you can get the impression that God's blessings are lying around the throne of the Father and you need to go and snatch them by force. What God gives by Grace you need not strive for, you just calmly and easily receive them.

But this type of thinking is making people satisfied with immaturity in spiritual matters. The truth is we are facing problems and things are not all around easy and rosy. Now God has wisdom for those who seek it, wisdom to worship Him(1) and Seek His Kingdom(2) because that is before everything else, but also wisdom on how to handle any and every situation. He speaks in many ways and He can give you plans on how to overcome your problems.

Job 33:14-17

For God may speak in one way, or in another,
Yet man does not perceive it.
In a dream, in a vision of the night,
When deep sleep falls upon men,
While slumbering on their beds,
Then He opens the ears of men,
And seals their instruction.
In order to turn man from his deed,
And conceal pride from man,

Here is a dream I had just the other day. I feel it highlights very important strategies we need to employ to overcome attacks in our lives. 

The Dream of the Evil Sorcerer

I had a dream I was Arogorn (Lord of the Rings... full disclosure, I look more like his dwarf friend, Gimli). In fact, I was with Legolas and Gimli (you're thinking what a teenager dream this is aren't you? But seriously, God speaks to each of us in ways that we who receive it understand).

And there we were in some big battle against the enemy, who surprise, surprise turned out be an evil version of Gandalf. He was fighting us somewhere on a dark battlefield at sunset and we were beaten and battered. Somehow, as Aragorn lay on the ground panting I saw something very interesting. Had it not been for this detail I would have thrown the dream away as truly nothing more than a nice teenager like dream that I could somehow remember hours after I had woken up.

Aragorn's body was covered in body armor, stealth, metal like Iron Man's armor, but black, all one color. However, as I lay on the floor suddenly Hebrew writings appeared all over the armor. Apparently, these Scriptures were engraved and they began to glow with a fiery orange and red color.

And then, these two missiles appeared (yeah, missiles like you put on fighter planes) and they were guided, and locked on to this evil Gandalf and pursued him. We seemed to not understand where they came from and stood up in bewilderment ourselves as the missiles cut off Gandalf's arms (interestingly, he did not bleed) and the place where they were cut was sewed on itself, like stitches on a cut.

So now this armless, evil Gandalf is hissing and shouting at the missiles which remained hovering a couple meters away from him, and had cornered him. There was fire coming out of from their engines on the backs - the missiles - and whichever way Gandalf tried to run they were there to keep him in place.

At this point, I find myself scuba diving underwater. I had found underwater cables that extended to an enemy land somewhere and were installed by that enemy country to spy on us. In reality, I felt that these were the ways this evil Gandalf had attacked us in the first place.

3 Lessons from this dream

You maybe in a situation but you need to know why you are in it. This requires wisdom, prophetic insight from the Spirit Himself. It may be a mistake you have done, or it may be more insidious. We are covered by the Blood of Jesus and no curse is rightfully ours by His Grace but sometimes the enemy does find a foothold. We need not fret and panic and start frantically uttering and breaking every known and unknown thing under heaven that we may have done. Let the Lord lead you and when He does His wisdom is always peaceful and calm and illuminating. It does not lead to panic... ever.

In this dream there are 3 incredible lessons:

1) Know the Word of God.

The Word of God was etched on the armor showing how important it is to arm yourself with the word of God. I couldn't discern any specific Scripture, but I felt I was completely covered in them. I feel this represents reading the Word and meditating on it in the classrooms of the Holy Spirit, not man. If you want to grow in wisdom, read the Word frequently and think on it with the guidance of your Father's Spirit.

2) Bind the enemy

Sometimes when a situation happens and it is revealed to you to be of demonic origin, you must proceed to verbally and calmly (no need to spew our curses and insults and shout and wave your hand like a shaman) just declare in Jesus' name and as a son and daughter of God that you bind that unclean spirit(s) and tell them to leave you forever, even to leave earth.

3) Seek deeper understanding from the Lord

Jesus was perceptive enough to understand that many sicknesses (if not most) were caused by demons. That was in fact His strategy... first He would always cast out demons. Then He would heal. Likewise, when you bind the enemy and cast him out from a situation, you need to go and proceed with any other root cause before you administer the healing necessary.

In the case of the dream, I discovered a whole kind of infrastructure that the enemy had laid in the "depths" (representing the enemy's kingdom, hell) to spy on us. Whatever was the intent of this network, it was the enemy's foothold subtly undermining everything we did.

The truth is this dream was an answer to a request for greater revelation about how to pray for a specific situation I was facing. It could have been countless other things yet the Lord chose to show me these things. Even when I woke up I laughed this dream off, but after three hours I still was remembering it and then got my ah ha moment and realized this was God showing me something.

So go to God with your problems. Ask for prophetic revelation and He will answer you. Fix the problem then go administer the healing. Always be filled with His Spirit and His word. God bless you richly... that is His will always.
