How to Pray the Most Powerful Blessing Ever Written
Some weeks or months ago, I felt led to the Priestly prayer of Numbers 6:22-27. It goes like this in the English translation:
And Yahowa spoke to Moses, saying: "Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:
So the thought came to me, undoubtedly from the Holy Spirit - learn this prayer in Hebrew. Now, you now me I absolutely LOVE Hebrew. It is one of the deepest languages (and I speak five of them). Each word has such full, rounded, penetrating meanings.
So I began to pray this over my family, especially my sons, in Hebrew. And I want you to be able to pray it also. But when you pray, it learn the meaning of each word.
So first, check out this link which has all you need to discover how to pronounce it and what each word really means, all in one place. The qBible.com is a one of a kind resource and probably the best place to study the Hebrew Scriptures.
Secondly, I want to offer the pronunciation here in a true and easy way to pronounce and later understand too:
Y'Barekuka (May He bless/kneel to you) YAHOWA (God's Name, the Existing One, the I Am, sometimes I replace this with Yeshua, Jesus' Name) wa (and) YuShameruka (to completely hedge you in with a crown and wall of thorns, to surround you as a shield, to preserve you and whisper His blessings on you)
Ya'or (May He Lighten/Illuminate/Enlighten/Shine) YAHOWA Fanay-yo (His Face, His countenance, His gaze) Aaleik (on you) wa (and) YuKhanuka (May He Favor you, give endless Mercy, Grace, Compassion, Love and Blessing)
Yasa (May He lift up with joy) YAHOWA Fanay-yo (His Face, His countenance, His gaze) Aaleik (on you) wa (and) yasem-leka (He gives you) Shalom (the all encompassing peace of God means complete wholeness, well-being, inner peace, calmness, prosperity, holiness, satisfaction, rest, healing, salvation, safety, protection and so much more).
I recently came across Sid Roth's very new interview (Feb 4 2018, this post was published a day later) with someone explaining this prayer and it can informative and encouraging with some of my caveats, but never mind them for now.
Instead, focus on this prayer. It expresses God's great and beautiful will, full of love and love and endless love to you. This prayer was only prayed once a year or so by the High Priest of Israel in the days of the Tabernacle, the First Temple and the Second Temple. Today, many Jewish families on Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) pray this over their children and also on the Sabbath.
Yet it we who are in Jesus the Messiah, are under the blessing of the Melchitzedek High Priest - Yeshua our Lord and Savior! Moreover, He has also made kings and priests (Rev 1:6) so that we can pray this to each other and our families as well. As you pray, get a little spiritual, don't be afraid to be a little mystical; this is our heritage too, even if you are not sure about the pronunciation, you now know the meaning and you are praying from this knowledge. I sometimes pray this prayer to my sons and then simultaneously translate it as I have done it here. But the Hebrew is just so awesome.
There's a second prayer, and it's the way Jesus taught us to pray! Stay tuned for that one!
*** A prophetic/rhema prayer for whoever wishes it.
Y'bareku Yahowa - Our Father has bent the knee to give to you His greatest gift, the most precious gift of all, His Son and with Him the most powerful force of Heaven and Earth, the most powerful thing in the Universe, the Blood of His Son, the Lamb that has washed you of all your sins. You are blessed of the Lord, from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.
Wa Yashameruka - Yeshua shields you, He is your Shield and no other. His Head was crowned with a crown of thorns and this crown surrounds you and keeps you from every evil and harm under the son, from the wiles of the devil and the spirit demons that roam the earths or the heavens and from the darkness of violence and bloodshed of earth and from ever other evil and harm, accident and sickness of any kind. His Shield covers your body, mind/soul/heart and spirit.
Ya'or Yahowa Fanay-yo Aaleik - His Face in His Sunshine Splendor and Glory shines on you, warmth and glory, grace and strength, joy and happiness, His Joy, let it infuse you at all times and revive the dead wastelands of your heart that the enemy and years of drought and bitterness have left dry and dead. His Light Shines on you from His Face, See His Expression, an Expression of Great Joy and Love towards you - all the time His Sun shines unto you.
Wa Yo'Khanuka - And His Endless Favor is On you. there is no way you can run from this Grace and the only way is to fall off this boat of grace is to think there is no grace. So let go of your self-sufficiency and repent - this is what repentance is to - and receive in like the waves of the sea on the shore His Favor and Grace and Mercy. You are His Beloved Son/Daughter and in you He is so overjoyed and please.
Yasa Yahowa Fanay-yo Aaleik - He lifts His face to you, He rises up and see His gaze to watch over you in your ways. He raises you up high on the rock that is higher than you and He will keep you from the flood waters below. He has loved you and is so fond of you. Come to Him and look upon Him. Open you hears that you may Hear Him speaking to you, for He is always with you and you are always on His mind and in His eyes. What does a boy see when He sees His Father looking at Him? He see his own reflection in His Father's eyes and that is the reflection you can see if you decide to look into His eyes right now.
Wa'yasem lekha Shalom - and He bestows on you His Peace. This is your inheritance, the One Jesus paid for that you may have with His blood - the inheritance of Peace that He bequeaths to you, not the peace of the world but the Peace of Himself, of Yeshua Himself, of the Most High. It is the Peace that Reigns in the Temple of Yahowa in the Heavenly Realm, it is not silence and still but it is vibrant with Restful Life and Fullness. Drink deeply from His wells of the Fountain of Life.
Amen.
