What are the ways of the Kingdom of Heaven?

"The reason his breakthrough has not come is because he has yet to learn the ways of the Kingdom of Heaven." Jesus said this about me in an amazing and unprecedented dream I had recently.

What are the ways of our Father's Kingdom? Jesus said that "It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven." (Mat 13:11). This is perhaps one of the most colossal statements Jesus made. It puts another saying "Seek first the Kingdom" into a completely different light.

This is a reign of God that has ways, mysteries, secrets and principles. It is hidden like a treasure in a field and very rare, difficult to come by and beautiful like a pearl. It grows, it is living, breathing, made of humans and it multiplies, like tiny seeds and yeast in dough.

The parable of the sower in Matthew 13 is one of those Scriptures that grinds hard against the worldly mind (I'm speaking about believers here). I rarely ever read it without being flabbergasted.

Why? Because I am constantly hearing the "Word of the Kingdom" and yet I want it desperately to be fruitful but somehow it eludes me.

The fruit of the Word of the Kingdom can only be fruitful when you meet these criteria:

1) Firstly, you have a heart that listens to the Spirit of God.

2) You seek to establish yourself in His teachings by meditating on it, seeking it and truly hungering for it.

3) You rest in the Lord and in so doing refuse to chase the hollow promises of the world and its cares. The worries and anxieties, the lust for money and the false thinking that says that money will solve your problems, and finally the pleasures and myriad desires of the world - the cure to all that is to know you are Loved by God and His will for you is incredibly good and sweet. You can lean back into His bosom, and place your shoulders on His easy yoke and in so doing you will find rest.

4) Finally, if you want to be fruitful in this world you need to hold on to and persevere in what it is teaching you. This is what it means to persevere in the word, to hold on to it and practice it even when you don't see results. Ask continually for wisdom to implement God's word sustainably.

I haven't even scratched the surface. The Kingdom of Heaven is utterly different than the principles that govern this world. It is a Kingdom of Grace where no amount of merit and good doing will earn you favor. It is a Kingdom of grand reversals, where all things that happen to us are worked out into good, even the evil things. It is a Kingdom of light, where darkness can even comprehend its existence.

Do you hunger for this Kingdom? Are you ready to seek it and His Righteousness? This is probably one of the most vital and ground-breaking things you could ever do as a follower of Jesus.

More is to come...
