Failure is natural, victory supernatural! You're destined to Rise Again! - Day 21: Thirty Day Meditations to Abundant Life!

Have you found yourself asking whether failure was in your DNA? You start great things but leave them unfinished with a whimper. You resolutely decide to change but as soon as you do you fall back to your ways. You cry out 'Enough!' but none hear, least of all that part of you that you know seems doomed to fail... the Adam in you.

Adam failed. He failed his wife as he stood there and said nothing. He failed God as he hid, blaming his wife for his cowardice. He failed us too. And it seems, especially for us men, that we are  made to fail... afterall, what do we excel in the most? Aren't we notoriously expert failures?

I wonder. How is it that the righteous feel like this?

The righteous may feel like this, but they misinterpret reality and what is truly happening. You are not a failure. Your DNA in Christ is victory. The path of the righteous shines brighter and brighter, but from one mountain peak to another, valleys lie below. Is it not written somewhere, "the righteous fall seven times"? Seven times! Understand that 7 is the number of perfection. The righteous fail as much as they  possibly can, a life of consummate failure! But that same thought of God goes on to say, "...and rise!"

For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again! (Prov 24:16)

Today, don't look to your failures as the final word. The final word in your life, is the Word... the Word of Victory, the Word of Creation. And what does the Word say about you? He calls you clean, holy, and righteous. He calls you beloved, successful and strong. He calls you Victorious even when when they call you failure. He calls you favored one and My Son and My Daughter, in whom I am well pleased. Find yourself in the Truth of Christ, not in your failure nor in how many times you've fallen. Yes, Adam's heritage was failure, but that was the 'first Adam'. We are redeemed by the 'last Adam' the one who gives us the chance to be Adam, as he was meant to be... the image of God!
