When Satan reads you the Bible you'll believe the greatest lies

Have you noticed how two believers reading the Bible and hearing it's words, the same words, can have really different ideas of who God is and how life should be with Him? On the hand, one will see life, joy and power... and on the other, punishment, guilt and doom. Of course being in the mindset of the Old Covenant - the covenant that "God found fault" with - is a major culprit. But there is a sinister one who is teaching the believers of Jesus. He teaches them 'anti-life' using the very words of the Spirit of Life. That's how crafty He is!

If the devil read the Scriptures to Jesus, don't you think he desperately does this to the saints today? And how many are hearing the verses of the Holy Book through his satanic whispers?

How can you tell? "You shall know a tree by it's fruit." There is a way to read the Book and I will never stop writing about this. For years I read that book, but the Grace, Life and Power of Christ were kept shut and hidden from me. How is this possible?

Satan is out there using the Bible to establish very pious-sounding, seemingly solid doctrines of the faith. As he disguises himself in sheep's clothes, so does he do the same with these 'beliefs' of the church. Perhaps one of the most damaging of said doctrines is that "God is in control"!

For example this verse is used to say that God is the source of your blessings and curses:

"I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the Lord, who does all these things." (Isa 45:7)

God is a God of darkness? What about "God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all." (1 John 1:5) 'Oh, never mind that discrepancy! Let's cling to the former and leave the latter revelation to better minds for them to figure out.'

Darkness is nothingness. Destruction and death are not the domain of the Holy One. They are Satan's specialty (see John 10:10) and the enemy loves to start the fire and then say it was divine arson (remember Job). We need to see Scripture in the Light of Jesus, through the lens of His Grace because He is the express image of God and His will. I won't shy away from the fact that I don't have an explanation for everything, like the verse in Isaiah.

But isn't God in control? Is He? I don't know, have you ever read about how Paul vacillated between dying and living? He seemed to be in control of life and death... his own life and death! Amazing! And you know what? That is the pattern with God as far back as the days of Eden. The Two Trees, the choice of the Israelites in Deuteronomy  "I set before you Life and Death" and Jesus' call to all to believe and receive from Him Life and blessing.

We have been given a spirit of power and life and sound mind (2 Tim 1:7) and we don't have to fear the sudden change of God's heart or the stroke of His hand on our loved ones. He is Love and our Father. And He's blessed us with the capacity to choose Life, to choose His Grace and to choose His power. We are not helpless, poor souls, who have to spend life like little dry leaves floating on the oceans waves... that is precisely what "God is in control" theology will try to do you.

Yes, of course God is in control, but in His control He has made you and all living souls in His image. As redeemed children of our Father we need to extricate ourself from this teaching. It is hellish because it makes the child of God feel like they are not in control, as if fate will determine whether they shall rise or fall. That is nonsense. Life and death are set before you and you - and no one else - will ever be able to force or coerce you to receive His Grace and Life. God has blessed you to make you above and not below. Don't diminish the meaning of the cross by thinking that you have no say in the course of your life. You really do... and so much more!
