The secret of living a life full of God's favor

“…as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Rom. 5:21

Have you ever seen someone where just about everything seems to go bad in there life, as if they somehow attracted disappointment, failure, mediocrity, depression, sickness, messed up relationships, anger, worry or even death? These people are like magnets of negativity! Perhaps we’ve all had a taste of this. All those things I mentioned are just symptoms of death and the curse. Now there is much to say about this but I just want you to look at the verse above; now imagine a land, that if you live there the unmerited, undeserving favor and grace of God is king over your life. In the former person I mentioned, sin is king because it feeds on and is strengthened by death and its subsidiaries. But grace, on the other hand, thrives, rules and reigns in you through righteousness. The Bible says Jesus became sin, so you could become the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21). Wow. You know what it means to be righteous? It means that your mistakes, failures and sins (even those you haven’t done yet) will never be counted against you and that now you deserve all the good favor that Jesus Christ deserves! Indeed, He died for you to have this. If you live believing this, guess what? Waves and waves of His favor will cover your life. So now daily recognize and keep saying that you deserve what Jesus deserves and surely grace will reign in you to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord! So be it.
