Good News
As cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country. (Prov 25:25)
The world teaches us from the day we are born. It teaches us to fear and expect evil. That death and sickness is normal and sometimes even of the hand of God. Just watch the news, read the papers, all of it revolves around this. But there is good news for us. God is not against us, but for us, with us and even loves us. You know, that the Maker of the universe could have given us many things that He owns… land, gold, goodies, the stars, but instead He gave you and I, His Son. His only Son, He offered Him to us! That shows the magnitude of His love for you and what you are worth to Him. He was willing to part with His Beloved Son that He could enjoy you and your presence and so that you could be blessed with every blessing in Jesus – so that you too could live as His son and daughter. Get it out of your head that God is against you, that He watches you so He can heap evil on you. Because the truth is that He wants you and your house to live securely and restfully. You can expect His goodness and favor to come on you, to live long and have eternal life, a life that is full of His provision, joy and health – even a life that is a fountain of blessing to all around you – this is what He promised and He never breaks His word. So wake up expecting to see His love, watching for His hand on you and open your eyes to see Him work for you this day, for you are indeed the beloved of God!

I am your Heavenly Father and I will take care of you. Day by day I will provide all your needs. You don’t have to worry about the world around you or the state of the economy. You will not be disgraced; for even in difficult times, you will have more than enough!
ReplyDelete17 but the Lord takes care of the godly. 18 Day by day the
Lord takes care of the innocent, and they will receive
an inheritance that lasts forever. 19 They will not be disgraced
in hard times; even in famine they will have more
than enough. Psalm 37:17-19 NLT
